Silver nodded in agreement, before remembering she couldn’t see him “Of course not, but I don’t think we ever have to worry about that Blue. It’s weird saying that this is “my house” and that’s “My dad” or “my bed”, I’m to used to traveling, to being alone, it’s strange being able to say that I have someplace solid to be, and someone else to worry over me.” he admitted, messing with a stray strand of hair that had separated from the rest of the bright red bunch “I’m actually surprised… By how much he cares, to be truthful I find myself crying a little over theses feelings I’m having, I’m not used to it…” He wasn’t so sure about telling Blue all this, but she was probably the only person he would ever share such deep emotions with “I can remember when I was really little, I thought I was alone… Remember the night I cried and cried and you held me close until I finally passed out? It kind of feels like that… It’s kind of hard to explain for me” He was only three at the time, but he swore he could recall every day as if it was yesterday, his memory began the day he was told to put on that mask, while everything before that wasn’t even a fuzzy daydream. “Anyway, enough about that, I’m sure there are things we’d rather not talk about” he ended, apologizing “Sorry for ranting”
It had been a large party to his standards seeing as years before it was just him and Blue, but everyone near by had made it. Gold managed to keep his mood up even though Blue wasn’t able to make it and somehow Green had learned about his love of sweets “Speaking of my birthday did you spill about my obsessions with sweets?” His cheeks puffed, just barely, a light ting of pink on his cheeks “Green brought a cake and I can’t even describe it, it was strawberry but there was… You just had something to do with that, you had to, so admit it” he huffed, this was getting under his skin and he always went a little over the top when people managed to do that. “Anyway, it’s alright. You know how I am with my birthday, just your company will be fine, you know that Blue.”
Reading her next sentence his face got redder, almost matching the color of his hair “That’s not fair Blue!” He sent back; hiding his face behind his hands for a moment “I never stop thinking and I’m not cute, I’m not allowed to be cute, and plus; you’re the cute one so I can’t be” He was making excuses, he always hated it when people called him cute, Blue or not. Even worse was when people called him a cute girl; no matter what though he wouldn’t cut his hair, Blue always liked it long and cutting it short at this point would creep him out and would feel and look weird.
”For me when I first came home after so many years of being without one, it was kinda like that for me, too. Odd to have something to call your own and people actually wanting to help and be with you,” She admitted back. Blue nodded to herself with a quiet sigh. Those times were hard but now it’s good that she was able to call her life ‘normal’ for the most at least. The memory he said gave her a soft smile with a teary-eyed look this time; damn those times were tough. “Mhm, I remember that as if it was yesterday. With a wipe to her eye and pulled to her hair from her face she conceded with the simple word, “Agree.” with practically telling each other everything over the years, his ranting never bothered her. “Oh Silver, it’s okay to rant to me anytime! I’m always here if you want to talk to me ♥.”
“Ohohoh! So Green actually did take upon my orders for him to buy those sweets for your birthday. Heh, probably after seeing your face after he showed the cake to you, he could probably tell if that obsession was true!” Blue was also kinda surprised to the simple fact that Green DID do something she told him to— that’s new. Ohoh, finally listening to the ‘pesky girl’ I see.. “Don’t put yourself down like that, Silver, really!!” This brought her to a laugh. It was even more cute when Silver refused his cuteness to her. “You’re totally cute, got that ♥?” Blue’s ivory skinned cheeks tinted a bright pink at his comment back to her. She knew she was a real original Kanto-hottie, but she never was called cute in a long time by someone, yet even by Silver.
Shaking her head trying to refuse her pink-flush from spreading on her face she continued to type, ” So, when will you decide to come over, hm~? Oh Arceus, I can’t wait! It’s just been such a while, ya know?”
Silver couldn’t help but smile now, he always felt a sense of belonging when he talked to Blue, she would always be a source of light for him and one of the few people who got to see the smile he thought he had lost years ago. “Yeah, it’d be good to see you again Blue” he replied simply. It wasn’t that he didn’t want Blue to know how he felt, it was just he found it embarrassing to admit any of his feelings.
Finding himself at peace for the moment he leaned forward resting his head in the palm of his hand and using the other to cover a yawn; hiding a small smile as he looked at the gloves. Blue had to rework them over the years to fit his growing body, but they were still the ones she had given him years before. Sighing softly he returned his attention to the screen “Me? I’ve been fine I jjjjj” his finger froze, did she mean Green had been talking to her, or about him? Lifting his finger robotically to stop the stream of letters he continued his sentence “I’ve just been getting used to being the son of a mafia boss and trying to figure out my screwed up family. Giovanni wont tell me who my mother is and there isn’t heads or tails of her anywhere in the house” he mentioned “Gold and Krys keep dragging me to strange places too. To top it off Gold joked about taking me to a strip club for my birthday last month, I’m glad he didn’t do that.” he pauses, watching as the words pop up on screen; he starts to blush deeply, regretful for putting that at all “I mean, uh…” he couldn’t think of what to put to cover himself at this point “Shit, sorry Blue I wasn’t thinking” he retorted, happy that she couldn’t see how red his face was right now.
“I guess I’ve gotten used to my mother and father again, but who wants to stay home with parents forever?” Blue pulled back a strand of brunette hair back and stared at the screen before her yet again— still with that smile of hers that stayed on her lips as she talked to him. It feels good to not use a fake smile sometimes and this was sure one of those times. At the mention of Gold joking about trying to drag Silver to a strip club made her giggle again, like a child. It really did seems like something Gold would do so not much of a surprise to her. Oh, right. His birthday was last month… shit. Only if there wasn’t a hard snow storm she would’ve made it to Johto in time. “Even tho I did miss your birthday, coming to visit should take care of me missing it. Probably us two can travel awhile together— whatever you’d like, my treat ♥”
Blinking her light blue eyes at his words, a soft smile played on her lips this time. The way he said that sounded like the Silver she was used. She knew he had to be smiling, too. “You seem.. easier with words when you’re not thinking. Haha, it’s kinda cute!”
“Of course it is, from my perspective anyway, I bet you have “customers” who you wouldn’t be saying that too though” he was teasing her, really his bad habit of stealing was nothing compared to her pawning habit, then again it worked wonders when they met up when they were younger. It meant a hot meal. “Ha, is that so? It’s just like you Blue, you have to give the trainees a chance too though, so try not to take all their money” Silver commented a smile playing on his lips, talking to Blue always managed to do that to him. And his smile only widened when he got a response to his earlier teasing “I’m sure you have your ways Blue, you’ve always found a way” he sent back, ending his teasing for now, there was only so much Silver could bring himself to do to Blue, even if it was in good humor.
At the mention of something valuable Silver became curious, however he wasn’t going to just ask outright “Well that’s good… Hey Blue, what do you think about me coming to visit? It’s kind of stressful finding time to hang around-” he had to pause his message, he still wasn’t sure what to call the man “to hang around my father, I would love to come see you again” he finished, leaning back in his chair again and going into a thoughtful mood, he wondered if he could even pull the man away from work to go on a bit of a vacation with him, and if Blue would support that.
Blue’s attention perked up at his request. It made her smile as a quiet giggle escaped her lips. “You, coming to visit? Oh Silver, you know how much I’d love that!! It’s BORING being all alone on these islands.”
She leaned forward on her chair, crossed her legs, and brought her hands to her face, supporting her head with them as her eyes closely watched the screen in front of her. Hmm, it has been quite a while since she did last see those silver eyes of his, too, so it’s a good time for him to visit. ”Say Silver, enough about me, how have you been doing, huh? I heard some stuff from Green and here and there but not much so I’d like to hear from you! ♥”
Reading the message from Blue he smirked a little, hiding away a small embarrassed blush behind the smug expression. He wished it was possible to portray sarcasm over this thing. “It’s nice to hear from you too Blue” he started; poking at the desk “I bet you’re enjoying something like this, lots of people for you to try and scam a buck off of. You should really stop doing that though, no one at this point is going to fall for it” his smirk widened, knowing he would get a complaint from her for that “Anyway; how have you been?”
“It’s always nice to hear from me…~ Hah, and you too, Silver ♥.” She kept that usual smile on her face since always talking to Silver kept a smile on her face. “Enjoying it? I’m loving it! I’m just waiting for any moment a young trainer can come up to me and fall for it, much to my joy of getting rid of it and profiting.” Blue’s smile went from a smirk to her cheeks puffed, yet there was still a curve in her lips.
“I’ll always find a way for them to fall for it, always. They just can’t resist buying from me.. ♥” He knew her too well; of course she knew he’d expect a complaint from her on his comment. “ANYWAYS, I’ve been doing great! The Sevii Islands have been a pleasure to wonder around so far.. Four Island has been really supporting me with selling Star Pieces and stuff, but I’m after something valuable there. For now, I’ll just keep that a secret to myself ♥!”
Glancing at the list of people who had begun to follow him Silver couldn’t help but muster a frown, he didn’t recognize most of them but he could relax - Blue was right in the middle of the list.
Sighing softly Silver leaned back in his chair; staring at the roof as he took a moment to think about what could possibly be said to so many strangers. Taking his time to let his thoughts sort out, he finally came on a conclusion.
Leaning in and positioning his fingers he sent in the words: “I hope I don’t regret this” and left it at that. Simple in form and he hoped no one would really care, other then Blue of course, and the rest would just think he was just some kind of pessimistic attention grabber and wouldn’t try to hit it off right away. His socializing skills weren’t the best to begin with, despite Blue’s and Gold’s efforts to get him to be a little nicer to society.
After a few refreshings, Blue noticed a familiar attitude coming from a certain red head. With her usual smile and a hair flip, Blue began to type with her light blue painted nails, “Hey Silver ♥ Don’t be such a butt!!” Since she wasn’t very used to this, it seemed pretty awkward for her but sure enough Silver wouldn’t even pay attention to the awkward atmosphere coming from her.
One thing that ran through her mind the most was ‘More trainers means more people will want to buy from me!! It’s easy like that, aha ♥. Momma is gonna be getting her some nice cash tonight!’ With that, a sly smirk stayed on her perfectly ivory skinned face.
